Every culture has its own tradition associated with weddings. Listed are some of the colorful rituals before,during and after the wedding ceremony.

ITALIAN

One of the most beautiful Italian wedding tradition is the giving of bomboniere to the guests. Bomboniere are wedding favors with 5 sugar coated almonds symbolizing the bittersweet life of a married couple.  The five almonds have meaning, wishing the husband and wife : 

Happiness, Health,Wealth, Fertility and Long Life

FRENCH

The bridal bouquet has been tossed at French weddings for centuries.  It is believed that the single woman who catches the bouquet will marry next.

CHINESE

Angpaos are goodluck red envelopes seen in traditional Chinese weddings. They are usually filled with cash and given to anyone who has performed a service during the wedding.

SPANISH

During the wedding ceremony there is an exchange of 13 gold coins between the couple.  These coins are blessed by the priest and symbolises loyalty and prosperity during the marriage.

FILIPINO

In the Philippines, it is customary for a ring bearer to carry the rings on a wedding ring pillow during the bridal procession.  The ring bearer is chosen from either the bride or groom's family . He normally wears a barong tagalog during the ceremony.
